Are you that one friend who starts playing holiday music at 12:01AM the day after Thanksgiving? Do you stream holiday movies 24/7 during the month of December? theatreMAMA is seeking holiday obsessed performers for a cast of “Candy Cane Greeters” to create an immersive experience outside the doors of Radio City Music Hall. Cast members will be costumed and stationed outside the iconic venue where they will help create a more joyful and theatrical experience as audience members make their way to see the infamous Christmas Spectacular, starring the world famous Radio City Rockettes. This magical cast is responsible for spreading Christmas cheer to the thousands of audience members that travel from all over the world for the iconic event by transforming “waiting in line” into “waiting in a winter wonderland” by taking photos, singing carols, and more. In addition to creating an immersive atmosphere of joy, this cast assists Radio City Music Hall with important things like directing audience members, answering questions, line preparation, COVID-19 safety measures, and other processes that allow the show to begin smoothly.

Performer Qualifications & Responsibilities

Ideal Candy Cane Greeters must have:

• Strong improvisation skills

• Singing skills are a plus

• An ability to create defined characters/personas

• A lively personality and joyful energy

• Holiday availability is a must!

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment

• Capable to inspire happiness amongst the audience

• A love of the Holidays, theater and people

• Ability to speak more than one language is a plus, but not required

• Experience in immersive theatre a plus, not required

• Experience in clowning is a plus, but not required

Production Dates & Locations

NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2023 // JANUARY 2024

Greeters will be active 2 hours prior to showtime until 30 minutes after the performance begins.

Weekly schedule is flexible and will be based on applicant’s availability

Location: Outside of Radio City Music Hall

Compensation

All MAMA ambassadors are paid a competitive hourly rate starting at $20 - $24/hour.
